Over Net page
The Over Net page helps you monitor and analyze shots that travel beyond your protective netting. With both visual and list views, you can identify patterns, track specific bays, and export data for further review.
For details on how to receive alerts when a ball goes over the net, see [Over Net email notifications] and [Over Net sound notifications].
Range Map
Your range and net are displayed in an interactive Range Map. This shows where over-net shots have landed and helps identify problem areas.
You can toggle between two modes:
- Heat Map – clusters shots into larger red dots. Bigger dots represent higher concentrations of over-net shots.
- Single Shots – shows each individual shot location.
When you open the Over Net page, the default mode is Heat Map.
What the map shows
- Bays
- Net perimeter
- Targets
- Red dots for over-net shots
- Larger red dots + numbers indicate clusters of shots.
- Clicking a red dot shows the height range of those shots above the net (measured from the top of the net poles).
Over Net Log
Next to the map, you’ll see the Over Net Log: a list of all shots displayed on the map. Each entry includes key details and updates automatically based on your filters.
Filters
- Time period – defaults to today’s date.
- Click the date range to open a modal where you can either:
- Set specific dates in the calendar.
- Or choose a preset range (Last 3, 7, 30, or 90 days).
- Click the date range to open a modal where you can either:
- Over Net height – filter shots by how far above the net they traveled.
- Height is measured from the top of the net poles.
- Example: 1 meter = 1 meter above the net pole height.
- Both min and max values must be entered for this filter to work.
- Bays – control which bays are shown in the log and highlighted on the map.
- Bays with over-net shots in the chosen time period are automatically selected.
- Uncheck bays you don’t want to include.
- Grass tees appear as “Grass Tee 1,” “Grass Tee 2,” etc.
Working with the log
- Click a shot in the log to highlight both the shot and the bay it came from on the Range Map.
- Clicking a shot in the map does not highlight it in the log.
Exporting data
You can export Over Net data for further analysis:
- Click the Export button in the Over Net Log.
- A CSV file is downloaded that includes:
- Bay ID
- Shot ID
- Date and time
- Distance over the net
The export reflects any filters you have applied.
Ball compensation and Over Net
If your range has ball compensation turned on, it does not affect Over Net data.
- Over Net uses the actual traced flight of the golf ball, not the compensated values.
- This ensures that safety monitoring always reflects the true ball flight as measured by Toptracer’s cameras.
