Configuring leaderboards in TRMS
Leaderboards are a great way to create competition at your range and motivate players to return. You can configure leaderboards for supported game modes, adjust filters, and decide how they appear on displays.

Create a leaderboard
- Go to the Content tab in TRMS.
- Click Add content.
- Select Leaderboard.
Choose a game mode
Leaderboards are only available for game modes that support them. Once you select a game mode, TRMS will guide you through the relevant options.
Select a timeframe
Choose how long the leaderboard should collect results:
- All time
- Yearly
- Monthly
- Weekly
- Daily
- Hourly
Note: In the Toptracer Range app, leaderboards only support daily, weekly, monthly, and all time.
Select a range
From the Range dropdown, choose who the leaderboard will compare:
- Global – all ranges worldwide.
- Country – all ranges in the country where your range is located.
- [Your range name] – your own facility.
- Customize – select multiple ranges to create a combined leaderboard.
Configure game options
The available options depend on the selected game mode:
- Closest to Pin – select a course and unit for the distance to pin (yards, meters, or feet & inches).
- Long Drive – choose the unit for total distance: yards or meters.
- Long Drive leaderboards can only be created for your range or combined ranges (not global or country), since results depend on range layout and balls.
- Approach Challenge – select a course.
- Virtual Golf, Toptracer30, Driving Challenge – choose:
- Course (required)
- Tee (depends on selected course)
- Virtual Golf only – select round type: full 18 holes, front 9, or back 9.
- Stroke play (gross) is the only scoring type supported for Virtual Golf.
Apply player filters
Use the dropdowns for Gender and Age to filter results:
- All players
- Men / Ladies
- Juniors (under 19)
- Junior boys / Junior girls
- Seniors (55+)
- Senior men / Senior ladies
Note:
- For players to appear on leaderboards with gender and age filters, they must complete their profile in the Toptracer Range app.
- If a player selects Other for gender, they will not appear on any gender-based leaderboards but are still eligible for age-based leaderboards.
Set display options
- Number of players shown – between 1 and 100.
- Design – choose dark or light mode.
Review and save
- Review all your selected settings.
- Enter a name for the leaderboard (this will be shown in TRMS and on the leaderboard).
- Click Save.
Your leaderboard will now appear as a card in the Content tab.
Share a leaderboard
- Anyone with a link to the leaderboard can view it.
- To share, go to More details on the leaderboard card and click Copy link.
- Leaderboards are also visible in the Toptracer Range app (timeframes supported: daily, weekly, monthly, all time).
Adding leaderboard to displays
Now when the leaderboard has been configured, you can add it to any of your displays. See the [Adding content to displays] article for a step-by-step guide.
Note
Leaderboards automatically reset after the timeframe you’ve selected ends. If you want to save results and run a structured competition, use an event instead. See the [Create an event article] for details.
