Assigning players to bays

How players start using bay screens depends on the Screen setting in TRMS:

  • Locked mode – Guests must ask staff to start an assignment before they can use a bay.
  • Unlocked mode – Guests can start their own sessions directly from the bay screens.

Assignments (Locked mode)

In Locked mode, an assignment must be created in TRMS for each bay a guest wants to use.

Start a new assignment

Step 1:

On the Bay card, click Assign.

Step 2:

Fill in:

  • Party name – shown as a greeting on the bay screen. If left blank, it defaults to Golfer.
  • Time requested – choose the session length (options are set in Range settings).
  • Toptracer Range – this option appears only if your range has Toptracer included in price set to No in Range settings, and the bay has an active connection to a bay screen.
    • If Off: the bay screen will stay locked, but the assignment will still be created.
    • If On: the bay screen will be unlocked when the player arrives at the bay.
  • Notes – optional, and will only be shown in the assignment and the activity log.

Step 3:

Click Complete to save, or click the top right "X" to close without saving.

Now the assignment has started for that bay.

Note that the Total time includes the Time Requested and the Setup time.


Edit an assignment

Step 1:

On the assigned Bay card, click Edit.

Step 2:

You can update:

    • Party name
    • Additional time – select from the same time options set for assignment lengths in Range settings.
    • Notes

Step 3:

Click Complete to apply changes, or click the top right "X" to close without saving.

End an assignment

Step 1:

On the assigned Bay card, click End.

Step 2:

In the popup, click End assignment to confirm, or close the popup to keep it active.

The assignment has now ended.


Sessions (Unlocked mode)

In Unlocked mode, players control their own bay sessions.

  • Sessions end based on the Session timeout setting in Range settings (after inactivity or total playtime).
  • If the screen is inactive, the bay card shows Available about 30 seconds after the last detected shot (actual timing may vary).
  • Because assignments are not used in this mode, no data is added to the Activity log.
  • If a session ends mid-game, players can immediately start a new session and continue where they left off.
