Bays - Explained

The Bays page gives you a complete overview of all bay screens at your range and their current statuses. From here, you can see which bays are available, active, or experiencing issues.

In this article, we’ll cover:

  • The different grid layouts you can use to view your bays
  • What information is shown in each bay card
  • How bay cards behave depending on your business model and the screen’s status

Grid views

You can switch between displaying the bay cards in a large grid (1) or a small grid (2). The small grid view is especially useful if you have many bay screens and need a quick overview of your range.

Tip: While in the small grid view, you can click the smaller bay cards to expand them into their regular size. That way, you can do the same operations (assign bay, extend assignment, etc) in the Small grid as you can in the Large grid.

Bay cards

The bay cards give you a whole load of information, and look slightly different depending on your business model. For more information about Locked or Unlocked bays, check out the Range Settings article.

Screen status

If the bay show a Toptracer shield, it means there’s a connection to the bay screen.

Blue shield: A player is actively using the bay screen.

Grey shield: The bay screen is not being used.

Something is wrong with the connection to the screen.

You can click on the icon to see the following trouble shooting tips;

  1. Make sure that the screen is powered on. If the screen is frozen, reboot it by pulling the power.
  2. Check if the screen is connected to the internet. If not, check if the ethernet cable is plugged in correctly. Also make sure that the ethernet cable is not damaged.
  3. If the bay screen is still not responding, contact support.

🔓 Unlocked Mode

In Unlocked mode, guests can start and end sessions directly from the bay screens without staff involvement. Because assignments are not used in this mode, the bay cards in TRMS display only the live session status and availability of each bay.

The bay is currently available

The bay is occupied and currently in use

If there is one or more Over Net shots from a bay, the bay card will show the number of shots on the bottom as well as being marked with a red border.

Blocked Bays

In the Range Settings, you can add Blocked bays. These bays will behave as in Locked Mode as described below. This offers a hybrid solution where you can keep a section of your range unlocked while reserving some bays to be assigned by staff manually. For more info about Blocked Bays, check out this Range Settings article.

🔒 Locked Mode

In Locked mode, guests must ask staff to start an assignment before using a bay screen. The bay cards in TRMS show details from these assignments, such as party name, session length, and status. For step-by-step instructions on creating and managing assignments, see the Assignments and sessions article.

Bay is available to assign

If a player starts hitting shots on a bay that’s marked “Available”, a simple indicator will show that there’s activity on the bay.

If it’s occupied, the card will show the Party name you inputted when assigning the bay (or the default "Golfer").

  • Until xx:xx: The time the assignment will end. The text will turn red when it's approaching the end time.
  • Check-in-time: Shows at what time the assignment was started. The minutes in the parentheses represents the elapsed time.
  • Traced shots: Shows how many shots the system traced.
  • Total time: Shows the total time of the assignment (including set-up time).

The progress bar at the bottom indicates the time progress of the assignment.

If there is one or more Over Net shots from a bay, the bay card will show the number of shots on the bottom as well as being marked with a red border.

If there has been no shots or interaction with the screen on the bay for X amount of minutes (where X is a setting in your Range Settings), the card will get an orange corner and “No activity” will be stated.

More info about this setting can be found in this Range settings article.
