Glossary of TRMS features

This glossary explains common terms you’ll see in TRMS and how they are used.

Assignment

A booking created by staff in Locked mode that lets a guest use a bay screen. Assignments include details such as party name, time requested, and notes.

Bay card

A tile in TRMS that shows the status of a bay. Depending on the screen setting, it may display information such as party name, assignment length, or whether a session is active.

Bay screen

The individual monitor located in each bay where guests play.

Content

Items that can be shown on displays, such as events, leaderboards, or images. Content is managed in the Content tab.

Display

A monitor or TV configured in TRMS to show content (for example, leaderboards or promotions). Displays are separate from bay screens and are often located in lobbies, clubhouses, or viewing areas.

Event

A timed competition that can be shown on displays and tracked through TRMS. Events generate live leaderboards during play and results afterward.

Leaderboard

A list that ranks players based on scores in a chosen game mode and timeframe (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.). Leaderboards can be displayed in TRMS and on range displays.

Locked mode

Screen setting where guests cannot start bay sessions themselves. Staff must assign bays in TRMS before play begins.

Screen Power

A TRMS feature that allows staff to turn all bay screens on or off with a single click. Screen Power is managed from the Bays → Screen Power tab.

Unlocked mode

Screen setting where guests can start and end sessions on their own from the bay screens, without staff involvement.
