LED Status Guide - Dell Rack Server (T640 / XR12)

Your Dell server is located inside the Toptracer server cabinet.

This server runs the Toptracer system.

Step 1 – Check the Power Light

🔵 Blue

The server is powered on and operating normally.

No action needed.

⚫️ Off

The server is not receiving power.

Check:

• Power cable is firmly connected
• The cabinet has power

If still off → Contact Support.

Step 2 – Check for Amber Warning Lights

If any of the following lights are 🟠 solid amber:

• Memory
• Temperature
• Power
• PCI
• Drive

This indicates the server needs attention.

Do not attempt repairs.

Take a clear photo of the front panel LEDs and contact Support.

Step 3 – Restart

To restart:

1. Press and hold the power button for 5–10 seconds.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Press the power button again.
4. Wait several minutes for the system to come back online.
