Router Status Guide

The Toptracer router connects your system to the internet.

If your system shows “Offline” or if the Toptracer sign in QR codes are not being generated on the Toptracer screens, start here.


Step 1 – Restart the Router

  1. Unplug the power cable.
  2. Wait 10 seconds.
  3. Plug it back in.
  4. Wait 2–3 minutes for it to fully start.

If the system comes back online, no further action is needed.


Step 2 – Check the Status Lights

Power

🟢 Green

Normal. No action needed.

⚫️ Off

The router is not receiving power.

Check:

  • Power cable is firmly connected
  • Wall outlet has power

If still off → Contact Support.

🔴🟠 Red or Amber

The router needs attention.

Do not attempt to change any settings.

Take a photo of the router lights and contact Support.

Modem

🟢 Green

Online. Connected to internet connection.

🟠 Amber

The router is not receiving internet connection.

Check:

  • Network cable is firmly connected in WAN port.
  • Restart the range administered device providing internet to Toptracer.

If still off → Contact Support.

Power

🟢 Green

Normal. No action needed.

⚫️ Off

The router is not receiving power.

Check:

  • Power cable is firmly connected
  • Wall outlet has power

If still off → Contact Support.

WAN

🔵 Blue

Online. Connected to internet connection.

⚫️ Off

The router is not receiving internet connection.

Check:

  • Network cable is firmly connected in WAN port.
  • Restart the range administered device providing internet to Toptracer.

If still off → Contact Support.

VPN

🟢 Green

Online. Active VPN tunnel.

⚫️ Off

No active VPN connection, system may be operational but not remotely accessible → Contact Support.

⚪️ White

Normal. No action needed.

⚫️ Off

The router is not receiving power.

Check:

  • Power cable is firmly connected
  • Wall outlet has power

If still off → Contact Support.

Modem

🟢 Green

Online. Connected to internet connection.

🟠 Amber

The router is not receiving internet connection.

Check:

  • Network cable is firmly connected in WAN port.
  • Restart the range administered device providing internet to Toptracer.

If still off → Contact Support.


Step 3 – If Using a SIM Card

If your location uses a cellular SIM card:

  1. Verify with your carrier that there are no local outages and that you have data available on your SIM card subscription
  2. Make sure the SIM tray is fully closed

  1. Note how many signal bars are visible
  2. Take a photo of the lights

Then contact Support if the system remains offline.

When Contacting Support

Please include:

  • A photo of the LED lights.
  • Confirmation that you performed the restart (step 1).
